The Livestock Sustainability (TLS) is an international NGO based in France, on the Mediterranean coast. TLS aims to produce scientific knowledge on livestock farming and its interactions with territorial development through the design and implementation of local, national, and international projects, as well as consultancy activities.
TLS brings together around one hundred members from approximately thirty countries across the five continents, all involved in the management of natural rangelands and cultivated grasslands from technical, environmental, social, cultural, and political perspectives.
TLS is funded through the projects in which it participates and through its consultancy activities. Priority is given to the university-level training of young stakeholders in the livestock sector, both in research and among farmers and extension services.
TLS participates in several research, training, and development networks related to the social and environmental dimensions of livestock farming, particularly in the context of global change.
